Tier 1 reflects the standard 50-minute consultation fee recommended by the Australian Psychological Society and is intended for those who are financially well-resourced or on higher incomes.
Tier 2 is available for people on lower incomes, while Tier 3 is designed for full-time students and Health Care Card holders.
The Community Rate is specifically reserved for local fine arts and music students, who represent a core focus of my work at Collingwood Yards arts precinct.
If you can afford to pay a higher tier, please do so, as this supports the financial viability of my practice while enabling me to continue offering more accessible rates to those who need them most.
-
Please let me know if your financial circumstances change, and we can adjust your fee tier up or down accordingly.
-
Fees are payable by card and processed online at the end of your appointment.
-
Fees are subject to change, and are usually adjusted at the start of each financial year in line with the Consumer Price Index (CPI) and the Medicare Benefits Schedule.
-
Yes, I’m a member of the Bupa Australian Defence Force Health Services Provider Network and welcome referrals for Deep Brain Reorienting trauma psychotherapy.
-
I consider new referrals from third party funders who cover Deep Brain Reorienting trauma psychotherapy and pay at or above my fee schedule, which generally excludes DVA, NDIS, TAC, SIRA, WorkSafe, and victims of crime services in ACT, NSW, and VIC.
Medicare & Insurance
-
You need to be referred by your GP or psychiatrist to access rebates through Medicare or your Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC).
Your GP will determine your eligibility and complete a Mental Health Treatment Plan with you to support the referral.
Please email (or arrange for your GP to email) a copy of your referral documents to me ahead of your appointment.
-
You can access up to 10 sessions per calendar year when clinically indicated under your Mental Health Treatment Plan.
-
The Medicare benefit amount is currently $145.25.
The OSHC amount varies between insurers. Allianz and Medibank match the Medicare benefit amount, while Bupa provides a higher rebate of $170.85, which reduces the Tier 3 out-of-pocket cost to $61.15. Contact your insurer for specific details.
-
This will depend on your coverage. Please check with your insurer and let me know if you will be submitting a claim to them so that I can use the appropriate item number on your invoice.
-
After payment of the consultation fee, I can submit the Medicare patient claim on your behalf. You will need to submit OSHC or private health insurance claims directly to your insurer.
-
A benefit for a GP Mental Health Treatment Plan review service will not be paid more than once in a three-month period, or within four weeks following a claim for a GP Mental Health Treatment Plan item.
